About me
Nora Dial-Stanley is a citizen of the Lumbee Tribe of NC. She has spent over 40 years as an Advocate and a Voice for her Native American People traveling across the country as a Native American Storyteller. She has served as a Speaker and Consultant where she addresses issues, myths, and educating others about the history and cultural of the Indigenous people of this Country.
She currently services as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Guilford Native American Association, the Board Member for United Tribes of NC, and the Chair of the Miss Indian NC Pageant Committee. She has served on the NC Commission of Indian Affairs, Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, American Indian Women of Proud Nations, and UNC Chapel Hill American Indian Center. She has served as a Native Youth Advisor in Greensboro for over 35 years. She is the recipient of the American Indian Women of Proud Nations, recognized as one of the 10 Women Who Make a Difference in Greensboro, and receipt of the UNCG Excellence award for Advisor of the Year. She is married to Steve Stanley of 35 years; and mother of two amazing children Ryan Dial and Raven Dial-Stanley who are also outstanding Native American Advocates.
